You surely had her for so long, so I can't blame you for having a hard time moving on. But you want to, right?
First, don't try to avoid your thoughts of her. Give yourself a few days or weeks to reminisce about your happy moments with her. This will help lighten up your feelings. Don't take up months, okay? Just some time to grieve for her for the last time. Shed all your tears and throw tantrums if you want. (Just don't hurt others, okay?)
Second, keep away everything that reminds you of her. Anything. I'm not saying you should forget her totally. Just for now, until you move on. While those things are kept away, you can focus on something else without the distraction of her old belongings.
Third, engage yourself in an activity. What are you good at? Sports, theater, literature, cooking? Do anything that will require your full attention. Or if you're still in school, focus on studying.
Fourth, think about the people who love you. They might be so worried right now because you're always down. Don't you think they would want to see you smile again? To hear you laugh sincerely? Use them as your motivation. Tell yourself, "I want them to be happy, so I will move on and be happy myself." However, do not force yourself to be happy, okay? Motivate yourself to move on and find another source of happiness.
Do not forget about BJ. Move on, but don't forget her because she's a very important part of your life. Am I right? If you're confident enough that you've already moved on, then you can take out her things again. They wouldn't trigger your tears anymore, but would make you smile in remembrance of BJ and the happiness she gave you.
My prayers for BJ and I hope I've been of help. :)
Thank you soooo much!
