It's great having guy friends. Trust me. You just have to find the right one.
First, you have to be yourself. If you're girly, be girly, like pink, like shopping and all. If your boyish, wear boys' clothes, sit like one, talk like one. That's the first step in finding true friends. Even boys.
Second, be friendly. Accept people who approach you. Embrace their warmth and give time to get to know them. Some boys may be teasing you and all, but when a boy approaches you and asks, "Can we be friends?", don't hesitate. Just say yes and let things flow from their. In order to have friends, you have to accept them. Don't push them away.
Third, ride along their conversation. If they're talking about a certain movie, don't try changing the topic to clothes. If you know the movie, talk with them. If not, just listen.
Fourth, avoid being TOO clingy. You hang out, okay. But don't call them every hour or so. If you're friends, avoid skinship. They wouldn't like it if you act as if you're in a relationship especially if they have someone else they like.
Fifth, be open. If they invite you to do some activities, join them. Watching movies, going to the arcade, playing sports, or even just talking about books. Boys can be book lovers too, or fashionistas. If he starts a conversation, don't be boring and just sit their saying "Yes." or "Yeah, cool.". They would think you're not interested and leave you.
Boys like having girl friends who are outgoing and are not worried that they might get dirty/sweaty/tired. They like girls who can laugh loud, who can get dirty while eating- a girl who shows her true self. And if you're someone they can trust, that's a plus. Boys need a shoulder to lean on too, ears that would listen and lips that wouldn't judge.
Don't worry about whether they think you're beautiful or not. When one boy's your friend, he wouldn't judge you like that. If he does, then he's not your friend.
Go and look for guy friends. You'll enjoy. :)
